How do I care for my Tanzo knife?
It is crucial to thoroughly clean your TANZO after each and every use. It’s not nearly as tedious as it sounds – the stainless steel blade and sealed handle make this very simple.
NEVER PUT YOUR KNIFE IN THE DISHWASHER.
- To clean the knife, all you need is some warm water, soap, and a soft towel.
- After washing, immediately and thoroughly dry the knife with a soft cloth or kitchen towel.
- Once wiped down, feel free to let it air dry on the counter before storing it away in its felt and leather sheath.
How do I properly store my knife?
After the knife is used and cleaned, it’s important to store the blade the proper environment. Proper storage of the chefs knife can help keep a knife sharp, rust free, and ready for each use. Here are a few do’s and don’ts.
- Do store your TANZO in it's sheath, knife block, or magnetic mount. You should have a knife rack or sheath that protects your individual blades once cleaned. These are easy, safe and effective ways to store your knives.
- Don’t leave your knife in the sink. The sink is great place to wash a knife, but a terrible place to leave your knife.
- Don’t store your knife in a drawer without its protective sheath. Drawers, like the sink and dishwasher are crowded and increase the chances of dings, dents, or blade chips.
